Look at me: I'm Blushing

Thanks to the wonderful Karen of Our Slo House for nominating me for the Stylish blogger Award. You made my week :) Now I"m supposed to tell you 7 things you don't know about me.. he he he. I tried to make them non-design related, because I'm pretty candid (or even too much sometimes) about my design likes and dislikes.

Here it goes, in no particular order

1. When I was growing up, I spent every summer at my grandparent's farm, feeding chickens, stealing apples from the neighbour's orchards and playing dress up with my mom's old clothes. 2. I married my hubby 5 months and 10 days after meeting him and he moved half way around the world to be with me. Beat that love story!

3. My biggest pet peeve is jealous people always looking to squash you. Oh, and ppl who don't put sources on their blog. Drives me nuts.

4. My favourite thing in the morning is kissing the top of my daughter's head and smelling her hair.
5. I always wear high heels. It was a complete shock to me when I had to switch to flats while pregnant. It felt like my body betrayed me in the worst kind of way. We've made ammends since and I would give up my high heels any day for Baby #2.

6. My mom and I always play fight over Baby C's clothes. She wants cute-sy stuff with lace and bows and ribbons. I want a cheeky tomboy who's more interested in running through puddles. Amazingly my kid can do both well.
7. Baby C = Christina Grace.

Now, I'm nominating two blogs also from Ottawa: Fishly News and At Home in Ottawa. Go check them out!!!

  1. I'm glad I made your day. Ha ha. :)
It's fun reading non-design related things about you. As for shoes... would you still read my blog if I told you that I only wear ugg boots, flip flops, or running shoes?! (I'm so NOT a shoe girl!)

p.s. But my daughter is a 100% tomboy!

  2. ACK!! Baby C is beyond cute in that crocheted dress (which is very "in" this spring). ;)

  3. @ Karen: Are you going to read my blog knowing that I wear heels? :) I love everyone's differences. That's what makes blogs such inspiration.

And as for our daughters--they will have all the time in the world to be whoever they want to be. Right now is their golden time- childhood, and nothing better than to spend it as a tomboy. I was one too many moons ago :)

  4. @ Raina: this picture was taken last summer. She was all dressed up for her baptism. I'm hoping to make that piece into an heirloom. Would it be weird to baptize a boy in that?? :P
