Fabric Ordered & Bathroom Update

I finally got around to ordering Vintage Blossom in citrine fabric from Tonic Living. Thanks to Shannon and Janice. Tonic Living is having a GREAT week :)

You know how I've been talking about this fabric HERE and HERE, and how I wanted to reupholster THIS chair with it? Well, I've decided that it was all going to be too much yellow for me. Couldn't picture it in any of my rooms. Tried as I might. And I really didn't want the other colours the fabric comes in (HERE and HERE). As lovely as it is, I just LOVE citrine. So, I ordered 1 yard only.

I figured that just because I couldn't handle a whole chair, there's no reason why i can't have it SOMEWHERE else in the house. Hello en suite bathroom. I'm going to put the fabric in a frame, it will have a lesser chance of being ruined by all the moisture of a bathroom than a regular print (especially because it will be right next to the shower). I'm pretty happy with my decision and can't wait for the fabric to come in :)
I also ordered THIS hearts fabric from the remnants section. I love how it has just enough black and gray hearts to keep it from being completely "for kids only". I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but at $4, I couldn't not take it.

And finally bathroom progress (no pictures)--we're about to put in two potlights in the shower alcove. That's right, potlight, two of them. I'm so excited.

PS. I have to say that I"m amazed at how easy it is to talk hubby into all the little extras that I'm dreaming up. I'm amazed at how patient and willing he is to go the extra mile and make things happen the way I want them to. I'm right there with him, so I know how much time and effort all these little things add up to. If you're reading, I love you, baby. More and more every single day. Who says renos are not romantic??!!! I beg to differ.

  1. Love both of your fabric choices. (And normally I wouldn't say this especially since the advertising is on my blog but your last comment made me think that you would have some perfect stories for this 3M giveaway/challenge that's happening. You could win $5000. Ok, now I really sound like a salesperson but who doesn't want $5000. Details on my blog...if you're interested. Can't believe I just wrote this(ack!)

I'm so humbled to have you reading my posts that its a prize in itself. K, it might be an extra glass of wine talking, but I love your blog so much and I admire your style and aesthetic so much, that it is truly an honour to have you commenting on my little blogie. thank you for stopping by and I really really really hope to hear from your again in the future :)
